Multiple Choice Questions:

Field #

1.

This question is sponsored by the SCC West Burlington Student Senate and should be answered ONLY by West Burlington Campus students:  Current institutional policy prohibits smoking from inside its buildings and vehicles at all SCC campuses and centers.  Most students, staff and visitors follow the policy.  In the past few years, however, the West Burlington Campus has experienced some congestion and smoking at exterior entrances to its buildings.  These actions do not go against current policy, but the situation does create passing problems for students and staff.  In addition, in poor weather, some smokers stand in the vestibules with the doors open while smoking, which is against College policy.  The SCC West Burlington Student Senate is interested in knowing which of the following options should be considered by College Administration.  (PLEASE SELECT ONLY ONE ANSWER)

a.       Require that smokers stand away from doorways so that others may pass without walking through smoke.                                 294

b.      Limit smoking to 25 feet from the entrance (requires moving smoking receptacles behind a 25 foot stripe painted on sidewalks)         117
