SCC Softball Earns Academic Honors
The SCC Softball team announced the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) All-Academic Team Awards for spring 2010. To qualify for the first team student-athletes must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 and above, and to qualify for the second team student athletes must have a grade point average of 3.0-3.49.
The Blackhawks had three student-athletes on All-Academic First Team: Kelley Bettag (Santa Claus, IN), Alyssa Maag (Cairo, OH), Amy Harner (Mendon, OH). Six student-athletes were awarded All-Academic Second Team honors: Liberty Helt (Danville, IA), Hannah Pauly (Ft. Madison, IA), Haley Baker (Ft. Madison, IA), Courtney Herrick (Ft. Madison, IA), Susan Hellige (Ft. Madison, IA) and Machelle Rowan (Danville, IA).
