Mediapolis Standout Signs with Blackhawks
The tradition continues between the Mediapolis High School Volleyball Team and the SCC Blackhawks. For the fourth straight year the Blackhawks will have a Mediapolis graduate wearing black and red. Head Coach, Susan Reid, started off the 2011 recruiting class last week and Ellie Miller was one of the first to sign her letter of intent. Miller is a 5'10" right side hitter. She was a strong force on the Bulldogs state tournament team and saw a lot of action on the court. She is an All-Conference and All-Hawkeye player. Coach Reid feels that, "Ellie's experience and coaching that she has had the past few years is going to make her a strong competitor at the collegiate level. She knows how to win and she has had great skill training from her coaches. We are looking forward to working with her this fall, I think she will be a dominating force at the net. But, besides that she is a great student and a great person of the court."
