 So what's a Registrar, anyway?

reg-is-trar \ˈre-jə-ˌsträr\ noun :an officer of an education institution responsible for keeping academic records and evaluating student credentials

So what does that reallly mean?  Check out the links below for some valuable information from the Registrar's Office.

Refund/Last Day to Drop
Need to see if you still have time to drop a class? Or if you can still get a refund? Check out the current Refund/Drop Schedule.

Transcripts
We need to see what you’ve got. If you’ve taken classes with another college or university you’ll need to have your transcript sent to the Registrar Office for evaluation. Here’s what we will look at when Transferring to SCC.
Or maybe you’ve spent some time here at SCC and you’re ready to move on. Let us know where to send your SCC transcript by filling out a Transcript Request. We’ve also got some helpful information about Transferring from SCC.

Student Consent/Parental Access Forms
Once a person becomes a student at SCC, federal regulations go into effect which prevent the college from releasing information to third parties. If you are a student and would like to grant a third party access to your records, you will need to complete a Student Consent form. If you are the parent of a dependent student you will need to complete a Parental Access form to gain access to the student record. If you have questions regarding either of these forms contact the Registrar Office.

Dean’s List
Did you do really well last semester? Check and see if you made the Dean’s List.

Graduation
Are you ready to graduate? Be sure to fill out a Request to Graduate form so the Registrar can evaluate your record. Already filled one out?  Make sure you are on the list of Potential Graduates.
And if you’re planning on participating in the graduation ceremony, we’ve got Commencement Information to share with you. You can also check out who recently received Awards.
