Scholarships are great at helping students pay for college. There are all kinds of scholarships out there; you just have to know where to look. However not all scholarships are the same. Most have special criteria you have to meet in order to qualify and they all require you to apply.

SCCAA & Foundation Scholarships
While there are literally hundreds of scholarships available to all college students, the SCC Alumni Association and Foundation award over $200,000 in scholarships to hundreds of SCC students every year. Click here to learn more or apply.

A little preparation can go a long way when it comes to applying for (and getting) scholarships.
Here's a checklist with some of the things you'll need:
- A completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- List of references, complete with contact information
- High school students should meet with your high school counselor to identify available scholarships
- Copies of your high school & any past college transcripts
