Upward Bound provides support to participants to help them succeed in their pre-college performance, prepare for college entrance, and ultimately prepare them in their higher education pursuits. Furthermore, the goal is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from postsecondary programs. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families and families where neither parent holds a bachelor's degree who are preparing to enter postsecondary education. The target schools that we serve are: Fort Madison Community High School, Burlington Community High School, and Keokuk Community High School.
